Cave Radiolocation

Detailed Information:

Cave Radiolocation is a technique used to locate a section of a cave from the surface by transmitting an omni-directional beacon to the surface that can be triangulated to the point of origin. The advantage of this technique is that it allows a very accurate GPS address to be associated with any section of the subsurface void. With the advent of GIS (Geographical Information Systems), we are better able to depict a caves location onto geological and topographical quadrangles and other maps in conjuction with Radiolocation technology.
